My Spaghetti Sauce is simple but flavorful and not spicy hot either. I hope you give it a try ;) Here goes:1 lb. pork sausage in small chunks (sort of mini meatballs or you can crumble it for meat sauce for little kids)
Cook sausage until ...brown, then add 1 diced onion and continue cooking sausage until dark brown. Some might say it’s burnt but it isn’t and onion is translucent.
Add a number 2 can of tomato sauce (it’s about 32 oz.)
crush and mix together 2 TBSP. Oregano leaves, 1 TBSP. Thyme leaves, 1 tsp. Basil leaves, ¼ tsp. black pepper, 3TBSP. Brown sugar, ¼ tsp. Chili powder, ½ tsp. garlic powder NOT garlic salt!! (If fresh garlic I use about 4 or 5 cloves and add fresh garlic with onion and sausage)
Return to stove, cover pot and simmer for 30 minutes or so, stirring occasionally. If not thick enough for you add ½ a small can of tomato paste stirring constantly until thick. It only takes a couple of minutes to get thick quick.
