ultimate double chocolate chip cookies... by terra seymour

Ultimate Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 stick Crisco Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortning
2 Tbls Milk
1 Tbls Vanilla Extract
... 1 large egg
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 a bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Mix until light and fluffy. Add egg into creamed mixture and stir in completly. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in seperate bowl. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop rounded tbls of dough 3-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. (Baking time does vary depending on your stove I usually start checking around 5 minutes) Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet on a cooling rack. Remove cookies to rack to cool completely. Makes approx. 3 dozen.

I have also made these with other types of chips. (white chocolate, toffee, mini chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch and combinations of these.) They all taste just as good but they do look different when they are done.
