Preheat oven to 350, butter the bottom of 9x13 pan.
Peel, core and cut each apple into 8 slices each. wrap each slice in one crescent roll, make sure there are no holes and they are sealed good. place them in pan, two rows. (I sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar on top AND on the apple before I roll it, but that's just me!)

Skillet pork chops.......by Myndee Gray

Skillet Pork Chops-ingredients
4 pork chops, potatoes, carrots, onions, chicken broth, seasoning.

Directions- dice onions and potatoes into 1x1 pieces. Slice carrots into about quarter inch slices. Heat skillet to medium. Season chops to liking. I use Johnny's season all. Brown pork chops on both sides. Once pork chops are browned, add all veggies. Pour about a half a cup of chicken broth over veggies and chops, season. Reduce heat to light/medium, cover, and cook for about 30 minutes. My tips- I use bone in pork chops (not so dry), I like to use a little more broth because it makes a kind of sauce you can put on the food. I love this recipe b/c it is so easy and my kids love it. The chops are so juicy not dry at all.

Dump Cake......by Deborah Perry

My mom make the easiest dump cake, can of crushed pineapple in its own juice, can of pie filling, you can use any kind. I use the ones sweetened with splenda. box cake and butter. Dump pineapple and pie filling in bottom of pan juice and all. Pour uncooked box cake over top, slice butter into pats and place on top of box cake. cook at 400 till brown. I made this yesterday and when it had started to brown I put coconut and almond slivers on top, they toasted and it was great

Indian fry Bread.............by marisa

Indian Fry Bread

Prep Time 30 Minutes
Cook Time 10 Minutes  Servings 6 Difficulty Easy
Ingredients
3 cups All-purpose Flour
½ teaspoons Salt
3 teaspoons Baking Powder (slightly Rounded Teaspoons)
¾ cups Milk
Water As Needed To Get Dough To Come Together
Vegetable Shortening Or Lard For Frying
Preparation Instructions
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir with a fork as you pour in the milk; keep stirring for a bit to get it to come together as much as possible. Add just enough water (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup) to get it to come together. Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let it sit for 35 to 45 minutes to rest.
When you’re ready to make the fry bread, heat about 1 to 2 inches shortening/lard in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Grab a plum-sized piece of dough (or larger if you want larger fry bread) and press it into a circle with your fingers: place it on a clean surface and begin pressing in the center and work your way out, stretching it as you go.
When the circle is about 4 to 7 inches (however big you want it) carefully drape it into the skillet. Allow it to fry on one side until golden brown, about 1 minute, then carefully flip it to the other side using tongs. Fry it for another 30 to 45 seconds.
Remove the fry bread to a paper towel-lined plate and allow it to drain while you fry the other pieces.
Serve warm!

starbucks drink recipe by christina turley

Ok my recipe is for a drink...How to make a Starbucks frappuccino at home (because I'm a Starbucks addict and if I could afford it would probably buy one everyday)...Cost per drink is under 50 cents if you make it at home and average $5.00 if you buy it. - Java Chip - Ingredients - 1 Cup Milk, 1/2 TBSP Cocoa Powder, 1 Packet Instant Coffee, 2 TBSP Chocolate Syrup, 2 Blocks Hersheys Dark Chocolate from Giant Bar. (or Chocolate chips/ Dark Chocolate etc), 1/8 tsp Xanthan Gum, 1 Cup Ice. 1) In a blender combine milk, cocoa powder, instant coffee and xanthan gum...blend for a 30 seconds or so until everything is mixed (no more instant coffee bits). Then add Chocolate chips/Chocolate Bar Pieces and blend another 30 seconds to break up. 2)Add ice, and pulse the blender (by pulsing instead of just holding the smoothie/ice button, your ice will break up better)3) Drizzle Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup on the cup, on top, however you like...Add whipped cream.","type":22}'>LikeUnlike · · Follow PostUnfollow Post · 59 minutes agoChristina Turley I also have Caramel on here to - http://adventuresincookinglite.blogspot.com/2012/03/starbucks-frappuccino-copycats.htmlLow Calorie Foods adventuresincookinglite.blogspot.comExperimental cooking with low calorie recipes while on a journey to lose 100lbs.59 minutes ago · "}'>LikeUnlike · Christina Turley The Xanthan Gum is what gives it the good thick texture, otherwise the drink is somewhat watery. *Chopped onion

*Chopped Green chili

*Tortillas

Cook up your meat on the stove adding whatever seasonings you like (I like, seasoned salt, garlic powder and lemon pepper)
While that cooking add your onion and green chili
**strain all the grease from meat then return to stove**
Add can of cream of mushroom...heat for about 2-3 min.
Then grab your tortillas, and make some burritos!!!!
Lol (sometimes after making the burrito-I butter all sides and toast the sides on a skillet)
**also good with Red Devil sauce** Simple as heck and tastes pretty darn good!

lasagna cupcakes....by kristi johnson

Ingredients: ½ lb 95% lean ground beef
1 ½ t Italian seasoning...

5 oz mushrooms, chopped 16 wonton wrappers (check the produce department!)

4 oz fat free Ricotta cheese

1 ½ oz Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

1 c pasta sauce

4 oz reduced fat 2% shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions: 1. Pre-heat the oven to 375. Lightly mist 8 cups in a muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.
2. In a sauté pan or large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and Italian seasoning and brown beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Add mushrooms and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until mushrooms are browned as well.
3. Push a wonton wrapper into the bottom of each of the eight sprayed cups in the muffin tin. Using about half of the ricotta, spoon evenly into the wonton wrappers. Follow by spooning some of the meat/mushroom mixture into each cup (using about half the total mixture) and then splitting ½ cup of the sauce between each cup. Sprinkle about half the mozzarella and half the Parmesan evenly over the top of each cup. Press another wonton wrapper on top and repeat the layering steps with the remaining ingredients.
4. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from muffin tin.

We like to have a Cesar Salad on the side w/ these!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange chicken in a 9 x 13 pan. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake uncovered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Turn chicken every 15 min or until sauce is thick. So super easy and even more yummy!!

Classic corn dog and chees on a stick

Ingredients
6 cups Krusteaz Pancake Mix
2 cups Yellow Corn Meal
2 whole Eggs, Slightly Beaten
6 cups Water, More If Needed To Thin Batter
Hot Dogs
Cheese, Cut Into 1/2-inch X 3 Inch Sticks
Chopsticks
Canola Oil, For Frying
Spicy Mustard, For Serving
Preparation Instructions
**USE CAUTION WHEN FRYING WITH OIL. KEEP POT ON THE BACK BURNER TO PROTECT SMALL KIDDOS**
In a large bowl, combine pancake mix and cornmeal. Stir to combine. Add eggs and water, adding more water as needed for the batter to become slightly thick (but not overly gloopy.) Start out by adding 4 cups, then work your way up to 6 cups or more.
Heat canola oil over medium-high heat. Drop in a bit of batter to see if it’s ready: the batter should immediately start to sizzle but should not immediately brown/burn.
Insert sticks into hot dogs so that they’re 2/3 of the way through. Do the same with the cheese sticks.
Dip the hot dogs into the batter and allow excess to drip off for a couple of seconds. Carefully drop into the oil (stick and all) and use tongs or a spoon to make sure it doesn’t hit the bottom of the pan and stick. Flip it here and there to ensure even browning, and remove it from the oil when the outside is deep golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Repeat with cheese, allowing it to get as golden as possible so that cheese will melt completely.
Serve with spicy mustard

The Many uses of Borax

I seriously have this ALWAYS in my laundry cupboard, all the time I just wont live my life with out it.....Ok thats a little over th top, but I got to sell you fragul mama's somehow dont I?

So here are atleast three uses that I use mine for..Ok 4 if you cant it for my laundry soap.

Home Made Comet Cleaner:
1 cup Baking soda (dollar tree)
1/4 cup Borax (walmart $3.94)

( if you have a carpet deoderizer put it in there and you can shake it from that)

Home Made Oxy Clean:
1 cup HOT water
1/2 cup baking soda
4 tbsp. Borax
1/2 cup Hydrogen peroxide

Make this recipe as you need it. Do not save it for later. Any left over will loose its potency.

Mixall together add to the clothes in the machine and soak over night if not over night for atleast 20 minutes. After you desired soaking just continue to wash on regular cycle....

Makes 2-4 cups.

This one is my favorite cause our back yard is always full of theses come Summer...ANTS mix a cup of Borax with something sweet(sugar) and line it up in their path, by next day they will likly have gone to ANT heaven.

Surprise Toffee

I am the kind of wife and mama, that makes the 3 course meal plus dessert at the end of each day. So my kids expect a dessert it seems after dinner, I made this one time and I usually give the family a sample to see reactions if its yay or nay! The tray was gone before diner even started.
Ingrediants:
whole full sleeve of saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 pkg of chocolate chips
1 cup finley chopped walnuts (optional)
PREPERATION:
1. Line jelly roll pan with foil and spray with pan spray. Place saltine crackers close togethercovering entire pan.
2.bring butter and sugar to a boil for abouy 2 1/2 min. pour over the crackers.
3.Bake at 4oo for 5 minutes. Pour chocolate chips on top spread as they melt. Then sprinkle with nuts. Let cool for about 15 minutes then enjoy!

Amish White Bread recipe

this is my favorite recipe, so much my favorite I used it so much my recipe card had so much flour and stains in it. "This recipe will give you two loaves of plain white sweet bread that are quick and easy to make."
What you will need:
2 cups warm water
2/3 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cu veggie oil
6 cups flour or bread flour
in a large bowl, dissolve the sugar, warm water and the stir in the yeast. Allow to proof until the yeast resembles a creamy foam.
Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oled and turn dough to coat. cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk. about 1 hour.
Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes and divide in half. shape into loaves and place into two well oiled load pans. allow to rise in pans for 30 minutes or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans.
bake @ 350 degrees for 30 mnutes

Frugal solution for clogged drains

I hate to admit this, but I always always clog up my bath tub.....i am the only girl in my house so naturally its my fault. I hate having to go to Walmart or Home depot and spend $ on draino whch seems to never work.....and they never hardly ever have coupons for it.

So i did exeriments after experiments..surely i told myself there has to be something from my cupboards that holds something i csn use. And by golly I found it.....I felt like Albert Einstein and I had my first break through moment.......yeah albert Einstein!!!! Any who back to reality, so is what I did to make the hubster proud...

Equal parts of vinegar, salt and baking soda (depending on how bad the drain is....I Have to do a cup of all 3.

First pour in the cup of Salt & Baking Soda let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
Then slowly pour in the vinegar dont get scared ladies, IT WILL FIZZ.
Let it sit 15-20 minutes. The lastly just pour VERY Hot water down the drain.....

Homemade soap step by step instructions

Materials:

I use the 16oz. Translucent Glycerin soap base and Glory Bee Castile from Lee's right way..

color (optional)

essenctial oils (optional)

So east step by step instructions...you'll laugh cause it was so easy.

cut the soap base into chunks and put in a pot over med. heat.
stir the entire time to pretent any kind of burning it shoudl only take aout 1-2 minutes for all to melt together.

Once all melted remove off burner add the color and the scent.

Add to molds, this will take atleast 1-2 1/2 hours for it to form and hardened.

Now the tricky part to ge them out of the mold is to stick the mold in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. Once the time it up flip the mold over and the soap wll just pop out.

For you beginners i suggest to go to lees right way for the base and the oils, since its local, but if you are feeling daring heres the sight I get my supplies from.

Recipe: Home made ham potpie

I have so many recipes that are just spilling out of my recipe binder that i just feel the need to share with you. They help on my rainy days of :ugh..what am i going to make for dinner".Pie Crust:
1-1/4cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cups butter. chilled and diced
1/4 cup ice water

Directions:
1. n a large bowl, combne flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water, a tbsp at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

2. Roll dough cut it to fit a pie plate. Place crust in pie plate. Press the dough evenly into the bottem and sides of the pie plate

this is the simple part t can be made with chicken, turkey and the ham. i just cut them into cubes and mix in a can of mixed vegtables, pour into the the unbaked pie crust ..top it with the other crust "lid" and make away for about 15-20 minutes.

And there you have it......dinner!!!!
Emjoy and let me know how it goes..

Home made hand sanitizer

Any where i dont have to send money over and over again especially around cold or flu season, i get giddy to have something fall in my lap so that i can share it with you girlies!!!

So here's an idea of a safe and natural home made hand sanitizer.

the active ingrediant (alcohol) needs to be atleast 60% of the liquid volume to be a disinfectant (but alcohol still wont kill germs)the ratio here makes it 60%.....

* 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel
* 2/3 cup 91% rubbing alcohol
* essential oil optional

Mix aloe vera and rubbing alcohol and put it in a pump or squeeze bottle.

to me it doesnt feel as if it drys your hands out like the purel does to me. give a whirl sometime!!!

Home made dryer sheets

supplies:

* flannel fabric ( i like to use old recieving blankets)

* fabric softner ( I do the Dollar tree type)

* Warm Water

* empty wipes box or other type of container with a lid.

Getting Started:

1.) start by cutting fabric into strips.

2.) Mix together 1/4 cup fabric softner with 3/4 cup water in a small bowl.
~ use warm/hot water to help mix it better. use a fork and mix quickly it may be a little seperated not completely combines....its ok

3.) Place the fabric strips inside the container you are storing them in.

4.) Pour your softer and water mixture over the strips and shake gently to combine, let it sit for an hour to be absorbed.

5.) shake the container a little before using.
~ add one sheet to the dryer with each load.

Now just go and enjoy the frugal way!!!

Laundry Soap Recipe

Alright ready peepers!! This is so simple it will have you wondering why you didnt start this earlier in life :)
Now keep in mind its not going to be all "suds" like the retail soap it because it lacks those chemicals, but this truly is one of the best, safest and cheapest ways to get the families laundry done.

LAUNDRY SOAP

* 1 cup of Borax ( which I love it helps in every area of my home)

* 1 cup Arm and hammer washing soda

* 1 bar of soap ( i use Fels -Naptha) which is like $.97 at Walmart

Now with the soap you have to grate it with a cheese grater ( dont use it for anything other then the soap) or use a food processor, use any kind of container and mix all 3 "ingrediants' together...boom boom bam..cheap laundry soap is at hand..
Just use 1 tbsp of the laundry powder per load
and also with the whites insteqad of using bleach a use baking soda....

So try it and see how this works for you girlies :)
